Open

Eligible entrants: The  ‘Open’ category is open to New Entrants through to Year 8 students enrolled in New Zealand schools.

For 2019 Entries can be any digital example of an in class learning experience which does NOT currently fit into any other MADE Award Category.

The ‘Open’ Category will be judged by independent judges experienced in their field (e.g. Coding, Multitouch Books, Authors etc – as seen as a best fit when entries have closed and we can assess and group the entrants).

“Multi touch books must be submitted as an .ibooks file (which is your .iba file ‘exported)  but the file must also meet the iBooks store publishing criteria (e.g. all images used must be copyright free or owner generated)”
Being an .ibooks file means that the judge can open them on a Mac computer without having to have a login etc to the iBooks store. It also means if schools have created them but not yet published them to the store they won’t be disadvantaged.

By submitting your project, you consent to its use to be displayed, reproduced, performed, exhibited, and transmitted, by all means and media, both known and unknown by the MADE Committee.

It must be obviously clear that each entry has had student input and NOT be created by a parent, adult or teacher.
